DRH began supplying well-known
brand names such as Nobo, Acco and Sahara including sales into the European
and Worldwide market. DRH succeeded by manufacturing good quality screens
at very competitive prices, and has continued with this formula whilst
catering to a changing market.
Most recently with the rise of home cinema DRH has found a new market
as people construct their own cinematic experiences, whether with screens
built into a room set up or portable screens that can be set up and taken
down at will. The continued success of projection screens over say plasma
is the ability to economically and easily have a large quality image,
and the falling cost of projectors. Home cinema remains a specialist area,
but one with a steadily growing market.
One of the factors DRH takes pride in is the resilience of its screens
and we often get phone calls from people who first bought their screen
from us in the 1950s and 60s, and are only now looking to
replace it with a more up to date product. Since those early days the
improved fabric technology often get remarks from those same customers
when they see, say old Super8 movies, on the improved surfaces.
Throughout the changes of the past 50 plus years DRH
has remained family controlled and develops all its new projection
screens in-house and in its North London factory, home for the past 23 years. As a result we can
be sure that we meet our quality and durability standards as well as being
able to help customers with queries they may have from first hand advice.
